Thermal  power plant is a place which the Electricity is generated by heating energy is converted into Electrical energy.

In this technology of power generation heat energy is used to rotate the shaft of the Generator. The truth we all know the generator a device which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. A Steam turbine is a device that extracts thermal energy from pressurized steam and   do mechanical work on a rotating output shaft. The turbine takes the input   from high energy fluid. The turbine  blades   are in airfoil shape. High  capacity power plants use different stages of steam Turbines   such as

Ø  High pressure Turbines

Ø  Intermediate Pressure Turbines

Ø  Low Pressure Turbines

We are operating the generator by taking back the low pressure and low temperature  steam to high Pressure, high temperature we repeat the process of operating  generating with high pressure and high temperature to raise the pressure we can use a compressor.

Compressing pressure is a highly complex process   so we convert steam to liquid and increase or boost the pressure, so  focus on this we use condensed heat exchangers in low pressure Turbines stream is going to the condenser tubes and steam reject heat of the liquid stream and condense. Now we can use a pump to increase the pressure of the steam so the high pressure high temperature   remains original state. The next process is to increase the heat of the steam to the original value so we use a boiler. The output of the compressor goes to the boiler.

Water tube boiler is used to polarize coal as fuel  in the boiler.Incoming water initially passes through Economizer .

 Economizers in steam power plants is to capture the waste heat from boiler stack gases (flue gas) and transfer it to the boiler feedwater. This raises the temperature of the boiler feed water, lowering the needed energy input, in turn reducing the firing rates needed for the rated boiler output. Water will gets energy from the flue  gas.

Then water flows through down comer  and water valve transforms into steam. Pure steam is separated at steam draw. So   at this point steam has high pressure and high temperature. The working fluid is at original state. This steam is input to work steam turbine   and the process is done over  for complete the Power Generation Technology. The efficiency of Technology is about 20% to 25%.To increase the efficiency of the system Super Heating technic is used. In this process the Super heated steam is an extremely high temperature vapor generated by heating the saturated steam obtained from the boiling water.

Cooling Systems are used to cool the generator and other systems that increase the efficiency of the thermal power plant. By using all these systems efficiency is improved up to 33% to 48%.
